Nature Sonnet

Nature beckons many to join the fun,
Green rolling hills reflect the creator.
Birds sing happy songs till the day is done,
The moon shines bright showing off his craters.
But soon in trickles, people stole their land,
And left nothing for nature to reclaim.
Instead making buildings they thought were grand,
As nature sadly shook its head in shame.
But the people were never once shaken,
Until they went so far it was too late,
And the priceless homes they built were taken.
But we can still change this destructive fate,
‘Cause nature still has fingers crossed in hope,
That someday all will see we’re in one boat.
